I guess that's the most obvious question to start with! It also perhaps gives me a way of explaining a little about why I personally like it so much.

Let's just recap on what Squidoo actually is. It's a community of people who are building web pages, which they call lenses, in a diverse range of subjects. In fact the range of topics is incredibly diverse and you can find lenses on just about every subject imaginable and some you might not imagine! Everybody from the hobby enthusiast to the business person is now recognising the power that Squidoo provides to connect with others who share their interests or might be potential customers.

Squidoo also epitomises what Web 2.0 or what is becoming known as the Social Internet is all about because it provides you with so many opportunities to enable your visitors to interact with you. Whether you want to

The other great thing about Squidoo lens building is that it is easy! Through a series of preformatted modules you are able to shape your lenses exactly how you want.

Now let's think about why we as Internet Marketers should use Squidoo. Well let's first see what those nice people at Squidoo said when asked why you should use them:

It's free;
It's amazingly easy to set up;
People with lenses get more traffic to their blogs and other sites;
People with lenses earn money from the lenses themselves - In fact I use that last one to donate some money to Charity so you even get the opportunity to feel good using them!

From a Marketer's perspective this is ideal! It gives you a great opportunity to create a series of lenses around what are termed the "long tail" phrases within the niches in which you operate. You can drive visitors to your other sites in the niches in which you operate and to your blogs and of course to your affiliate links! For those of you who like me use Firefox they have also added a rather nifty Firefox extension!

In fact what I have been using Squidoo to do is:

Generate Affiliate Income;
Drive Visitors to My Websites and Blogs;
Generate Subscribers;
Turn PLR Articles into money Generators;
Achieve Top Ten Ranking on Google For Keyword Phrases;
You can explore a possible niche to see what the level of interest is and alsdo what level of knowledge you can develop;
Make Donations to Charity!
It appears at the moment that our friends at Google really seem to like Squidoo. So we want to take advantage of that don't we? I know that with the majority of the lenses I create I can fairly rapidly get into the 1st to 3rd page of Google Search Results.

Indeed, I recently created a demonstration Squidoo Lens and within a week it was in 10th position out of 4,450,000 results for its' keyword phrase. Not a bad result in a week I am sure you will agree!

The other thing that is worth noting is that at the moment there are many keyword phrases still available on Squidoo. So whether you are a hobby enthusiast, a small business looking to grow your business or an Internet Marketer keen on promoting affiliate products Squidoo is the place to be!

For the exact steps I take to achieve this level of success take a look at my new report at How To Make Money with Squidoo

Content Mania = Private Label Right Articles that I can recommend

Morning All

If you have seen the editorial from last week in The Online Magazine you will know that I have a view about the current proliferation of Private Label Article Sites and the competition that seems to be going on to provide ever more content. To the extent that they are starting to provide more content than could ever really be used by anyone! My biggest concern with it is that people will sign up for these large providers and then what they buy will just sit on their hard drives.

Now there is one new site which is bucking the trend as far as that is concerned. It has been put together by two people I have done a lot of work with over the past few months and who consistently deliver high quality materials. Content Mania by Mike and Kay is a winner of that there is no doubt and is probably at the moment the only Content site I would recommend to anyone! Now that's saying something isn't it! If you want to check it out for yourself then have a look at Content Mania. As always I only ever give my recommendation to something which I have used or am using myself.

Take care

Paul

Online Business Coach | Career Coach | Life Coach | eCoach

Morning All

I thought I would share with you the press release about The Coaching Solution which has gone for distribution today:

May 1st 2006 sees the launch of a major new development in the world of Coaching. The eCoaching Solution which harnesses the power of the Internet and combines it with traditional approaches to Coaching to provide effective and high quality eCoaching.

Coaching has become incredibly popular over recent years because in today's fast paced world so many people get caught up in doing what needs to be done "right now." They find that they can never break out of the rut that they find themselves in.

It can be difficult for an individual to gain access to coaching when they have to contend with the many challenges of their daily life and their careers. There are regular surveys which report that so many people are now working in a job that no longer gives them the satisfaction that it once did or for a boss who doesn't appreciate them.

The challenge however is to find time to be coached. People report that they wish they could find the time and the space to think about what we really want from our lives and our work!
Paul Duxbury is a Coach who has worked with many hundreds of people to enable them to achieve their goals and start living the lifestyle they really want. In seeking to find a way of addressing those people denied access to Coaching he has created an eCoaching Solution which will enable individuals to start to move forward in their lives.

The eCoaching Solution combines the power and impact of Coaching with the power of the internet through the use of:
· Email
· Instant Messenger/Communicator technologies
· WebCam technology
· WebConference technology
· Internet Telephony

The added power of eCoaching enables access to the Coach from anywhere in the World, from Manchester to Melbourne and from Bangor to Bangkok, through a computer at a time to suit the Coachee.

The eCoaching solution has been developed in response to the needs of Coaching Clients who wanted a solution which allowed more flexibility than the time specific scheduled Face to Face conversation allowed.

In addition it means that more people are able to benefit from Online Business Coaching, Career Coaching and Life Coaching through The eCoaching Solution.
<img width='1' height='1' Sometimes they even want you to.

Here's such a case that's going to make your day, andyou'll be helping out someone I have got to know and would consider a friend.

Basically, my friend, Willie Crawford is sponsoring a wedding for his youngest daughter in a few months. She wanted a fairly elaborate ceremony, and to pay for it Willie decided to have a big "Wedding Fire Sale."

Willie went out and had some custom software created. Then he gathered up a HUGE collects of fairly new reprintrights products, courses, MP3 marketing-related recordings, software, ebooks, and membership sites access.

When Willie was finished, he had nearly $4800 worth ofstuff. Then he did something really INSANE. He decided to offer it all to his list for UNDER $50. It's priced at less than one cents on the dollar!

However, Willie is only running this wedding fire sale for a few days. I've already grabbed my package and encourage you to do the same. You can grab it here: Willie Crawford's Wedding Firesale!

Willie also has a customer-only affiliate program. Youcan join this affiliate program, earn 50%, and Willie will pay you each DAY!

As I said, this won't last long, so go get signed up now. This is the biggest and best deal I've seen since I've been online. This is not out-dated junk either. Willie actually had some new software developed for this sale.

Go see how Willie is making Internet marketing historyat: Willie Crawford's Wedding Firesale!

Take care

Paul
www.paulduxbury.com

Blogging and Insomnia!

Evening All

What have Blogging and Insomnia got to do with one another you might be asking! It's been a week since I last posted on my Blog as we have been busy moving things along! I have been putting a lot of work into the development of our Coaching business which is certainly moving along nicely. If you want to read a little more about that then you can check out www.fulfilling-your-dreams.com and sign up for more information.

We have also been doing a lot of work on one of our very early sites www.my-dog.co.uk and making a few additions which will hopefully be appreciated. The number or volume of visitors to your online business website is what ultimately dictates the success or failure of your home based business or online venture.

You can have the best looking website on the internet, offering the most incredible product to your potential customers, but if no one comes to visit then all your design efforts will have been in vain.

Now none of us want that do we? I know I certainly don’t because I want people to see what I have done and to buy what I have to offer! What about you? I am sure you would like nothing more that to have a constant flow of people to your online business website. Here are some proven ways in increasing the volume of users who will visit your site.

Use Overture.

Overture is a subsidiary of Yahoo that offers a powerful keyword suggestion tool that helps you come to find the right keywords. If you are using the right keywords on your website then they will bring in more visitors for your site.

With Overture you type in the words that are related to your online business products or services, and see how many searches were made for those particular entries. The more searches there are, the more you should consider using those keywords in your site.

Know the value of keywords.

Search engine spiders are sent to fetch the keywords embedded in your site, so it would serve you well if your pages are populated with the right keywords you’ve acquired from Overture. So without turning your online business website into page after page simply made up of your keywords you need to ensure that your online business keywords are prevalent throughout your website. The Search Engine Optimisation phrase to cover this is “Keyword Density” and that is such a big subject that it will be covered in a separate article very soon!

Provide quality content.

As I have already suggested simply populating your site with keywords would be useless if done carelessly. Your visitors will be looking for information, and iif you don’t give them what they are looking for then they will just leave as quickly as they came. Remember, you want quality visitors, those who have the highest possibility of purchasing what you have to offer. You have to provide good, informative content for them so that they’ll stay. Try to publish articles or special reports on your site, where your keywords are strategically positioned in the body of your content at a density level of at least 2% (2 mentions of the keywords per 100 words of the body).

Promote in online communities.

Get the word out to the wider world by joining forums, mailing lists, discussion boards and similar online places where your target audience is likely to gather. Many people start threads asking for help. Help them by providing answers to their questions and you will start to build your reputation within your field of expertise. More often than not, in online forums you are allowed to have a signature where you can put a link to your online business website and this will certainly bring in some visitors as well.

Create a reason to return

You need to aim at encouraging return visitors to your online business website. You can build your own mailing list to keep in touch with them and offer some promotions or special offers from time to time. Alternatively you could incorporate a forum into your website to provide for a venue for your visitors to come together and discuss certain topics. This would simulate the semblance of a community they could call their own, and they would keep visiting your site to join in the discussions.

Constantly refresh and update your content.

Not only will this win the favor of search engines, but it will also increase the possibility of attracting visitors you once lost.

During the early stages of your online business website’s existence, traffic may come slowly. However, do not be discouraged into giving up. With the techniques shared in this article, you can increase the flow of visitors in due time, resulting in a high level of activity for your online business venture.

With a prosperous website comes a prosperous business!

Take care

Paul

Discovering your Family Tree

Evening again

Talking of becoming a Great Uncle reminds me that we have just launched another website aimed at the Genealogist or Family Tree Researcher.

The aim of the site is to provide straightforward advice for those who are researching their Family Trees. Discovering your Family Tree will hopefully be of great assistance to those who want to know who they really are. One of the Niches we operate in has a number of high circulation magazines. They phoned today whilst I was on my way back from the South to say yes they love the articles and really like the eBook and are their any additional eBooks they can promote for Sale alongside promoting our niche websites!

So if you have a niche which has magazines associated with it then I would suggest you do try and take advantage of them.

Take care

Paul

Migraines and Headaches

Evening All

What a week this has been so far with meetings all over the country and some major projects going on in my working life alongside those in our Internet Businesses! After the Masters Coaching Course in London it was back to London for a big meeting with lots of presentations. Not quite as exhausting as the previous week but still very demanding!

In the meantime work continues on getting ready for our launch of www.life-coach4u.com which is really exciting. Life Coaching encompasses so many areas and I am looking forward to coaching a variety of people (at affordable prices!) as we move forward.

One of my Internet Marketing friends who is interested in being coached asked me what the difference between having a Mentor and a Coach is. In simple terms the difference could be defined as a Mentor being limited to working with people in an area in which the Mentor is an expert or very familiar whereas the Coach is an expert in the techniques of Coaching. There are some people who Mentor in the area of Internet Marketing (which is an area I have a growing level of expertise in) and they tend to teach the mentoree the techniques and approaches they have used to build their own Internet Marketing business.

For me the power of Coaching in Internet Marketing is that whilst I have knowledge of the area my approach is to enable the coachee to explore all the possibilities and find those that are suited to them and their approach to online or home based business.

Hope that clarifies the differences for you?

Take care

Paul

The Power of Coaching

Evening All

When you hear the word “coach”, what comes first into your mind? Do you picture the 46 Seater Coach packed with tourists or do you picture a basketball team with person shouting out instructions? Or maybe the image of a football team with someone in a tracksuit pacing back and to calling out the names of the players comes to mind?

Coaching does indeed have it’s origins in the world of transportation when servants conveyed a person of worth from place to place in a Coach! Coaching initially became more familiar as a profession with the images of the Coach working with a sports team. Before I move on to look at how Coaching works now I just want to share with you my favourite definition of Coaching which is that it is about enabling an individual to move from where they are now to where they want to be. I especially like that definition because of it’s succinct explanation of Coaching the links back to the original meaning of the word “Coach.”

Coaching is now one of the key concepts in leadership and management and increasing numbers of people who truly want to be successful are receiving Coaching.. Why has coaching become so popular?

Coaching creates a level playing field

As a leadership style, coaching is used when the members of a group or team are competent and motivated, but do not have an idea of the long-term goals of an organization. This involves two different levels of coaching: team and individual. Team coaching enables team members work together.

In a group of individuals, not everyone may have the same level of competence and commitment to a goal. A group may be a mix of highly competent and moderately competent individuals with varying degrees of commitment to the team goals. These differences can become a cause of friction among the members of the team with resentment about differing levels of contribution appearing.

The leader who coaches helps the team members level their expectations. In addition the coaching leader is able to manage differing perspectives so that the common goal succeeds over personal goals and interests. In a large organization, leaders need to work to align the personal values and goals of the individuals within the organization with those of the organization so that long-term or strategic directions can be pursued.

Coaching builds up confidence and competence.

Individual coaching is an example of situational leadership at work. The leader who coaches works one-on-one with individuals building up their confidence by affirming good performance during regular feedbacks. They also increase individual competence by helping people assess their strengths and weaknesses to facilitate career planning and professional development.

Depending on the individual’s level of competence and commitment, a leader may exercise more coaching behaviour for the less-experienced members. Usually, this happens in the case of new team members. The individual’s direct manager gives more defined tasks and holds regular feedback sessions with the new member of staff. Over time they will gradually lessen the amount of directive coaching and move along the coaching continuum towards consultative coaching as the individual’s competence and confidence increase.

Coaching promotes individual and team excellence.

Excellence is a product of habitual good practice. Holding regular coaching oriented meetings and providing constructive feedback is incredibly important in helping to establish good habits. In a coached team individuals will develop the habit of constantly assessing themselves for their strengths and areas for improvement that they themselves perceive what knowledge, skills, and attitudes they need to acquire to attain team goals. In the process, not only do they find themselves empowered to examine their behaviours but they attain individual excellence as well. An excellent analogy or example is the Orchestra: in which each member plays a different instrument. In order to achieve harmony of music from the different instruments, individuals will ensure that they play their part in the piece to the very best of their ability, aside from practicing as an Orchestra. Consequently, as well as performing in a team they improve individually as an instrument player.

Coaching develops high commitment to common goals.

A leader who coaches works to balance the attainment of immediate targets with long-term goals towards the vision of the organization. As I mentioned earlier, with the alignment of personal goals with organizational or team goals, the personal interests are also kept in balance so that they do not distract from the team purpose and goals. By constantly communicating the vision through formal and informal conversations, the team members are inspired and motivated. Setting short-term team goals aligned with organizational goals and making an action plan to attain these goals can help sustain the increased motivation and commitment to common goals of the members.

Coaching produces valuable leaders.

Leadership by example is important in coaching. A leader who professes to follow a coaching approach will soon lose credibility if they do not practice what they preach. This means that they should be well organized, highly competent is their field, communicate openly and encourage feedback, and have a clear idea of the organization’s vision-mission-goals. By working with leaders who coach individuals can acquire the same good practices and attitudes they see modelled by their leader/manager. This in turn will enable them to become coaches themselves. If an individual experiences good coaching, they are most likely to do the same things when entrusted with formal leadership roles.

In conclusion as I commented at the outset coaching enables an individual to move from where they are now to where they want to be! Those who experience coaching really do see change in their lives and by applying the skills they observe and acquire through being coached they make a difference to those they work with.

If you are interested in Coaching then check out www.fulfilling-your-dreams.com

Take care

Paul

Raising your profile in the bloggers world!

Afternoon All!

I think if you are reading this Blog you would probably be inclined to agree with a view that Blogs are a very powerful force on the web today. It's become almost guaranteed that if you search for something nowadays then you are likely to turn up a lot of blog entries as results.

One of the reasons is that blogs link to each other all the time and as a result they create a strong network of links that does very well in the search engines. Not only that, but they're not shy about linking to other sites, as long as they like them! Again it's becoming increasingly commonplace for one blogger to take links from the another blog and re-publish them. In other words, getting talked about on blogs gets you potentially thousands of links from sites from highly-ranked pages – that's enough to get you quite high up in any search engine.

So How Do You Do It?

Well, to get your website talked about on the more popular general interest blogs, all you have to do is create some content that would be interesting to those bloggers. Once you've chosen your subject, all you've got to do is write something about it that is either new, amusing, or controversial.

For example, if you've heard that Apple is releasing a new iPod the size of a fingernail, that's new. Note that you can do perfectly well guessing at new things, as long as it sounds plausible and you're good at predicting: you can often write an article announcing the obvious next step for a company with popular products and get linked from all over the place.

When it comes to amusing, you might try some kind of spoof along the lines of 'popular nerdy film/book in the style of nerdy thing'. For example, you might do a version Lord of the Rings as though it were being acted out in an IRC chat, or recreate the storyline of the Star Wars Trilogy with Lego (warning: both of these have already been done).

Controversy is the most fun thing to create, but it's not easy and of course you need to ensure that you stick within the bounds of legality and decency. You have to attack one of the bloggers' 'sacred cows', the things that they almost all seem to agree on. The best example of this is a guy who wrote an article called 'Why Your Movable Type Blog Must Die', criticising the software that most bloggers ran their blogs on at the time. It was linked from literally thousands of blogs, and received an enormous amount of traffic – if you want to find it, it's still ranked amazingly highly if you search for 'movable type'.

Does that mean that I Have to Be a Wind-up Merchant?

Well, not necessarily – it's better to put forward controversial views that you genuinely hold and stick to producing amusing things that you genuinely find amusing, otherwise your insincerity will no doubt show in what you produce, and no-one will like it enough to link to it. What I'm saying, rather, is that you have to be in tune with the blogosphere's likes, dislikes, interests and obsessions, and write about things it cares about.

So I've Written It...

Once you've written something, the next step is to get it out there. There are several ways to do this: first, try outright submitting it to a blog or two, saying that you found this thing you thought they might like. If you published your content in a blog format, it's also well worth linking to a few related entries on other blogs, as this will create a 'trackback', automatically creating a link from their entry to yours.

Other than that, you might try linking to what you've done from a few weblog-style community, where you know bloggers participate. You would be surprised how many people will take that link and put it on their blog if they like it.

Hope that helps?

Take care

Paul

Really mentally energised!

Evening All

Some may have noticed that I have not been around for the last week or so.

I have had the great good fortune to be taking part in an Intensive Coaching Programme down in London for the last week with some amazing people. As I understand it the original thinking was based on the academic citation principles. If I wrote a paper the number of citations I have to other papers on related topics increases the perceived importance of the paper. However, if i had written a paper on "Andragogical approaches to learning" a paper on "Learner Centric approach to training" would be appropriate however one on "Rose Gardening for the homeowner" wouldn't be.

I cannot see how Google or indeed any of the Search Engines will continue to place importance on totally unrelated links as we move forward. Especially given how deep they now appear to be able to go in analysing websites. One thing I am continuing to do although I quite often forget is to cross link between our own sites alongside trying to gain links from other related and relevant sites.

Now over the past few days I have been playing around with SEO Elite which I had resisted buying for a little while. However, it has an impressive range of tools which I have only just started to scratch the surface of. What I have been using is the tool which enables you to easily obtain links from relevant websites and today alone it has probably saved me several days of work in finding something like 350 relevant websites to link to! It really is quite amazing and I am really pleased that we spent the money on what has to be an essential tool to have in your Search Engine Optimisation arsenal! You can read a bit more about it here: SEO Elite

FREE GIFT

Brad Callen's Search Engine Optimisation Made Easy has to be the definitive eBook on the subject of Search Engine Optimisation and you can download a Free Copy just by clicking here!

Take care

Paul

Willie Crawford's Master Blueprint for Internet Marketing!

Evening All

Well I printed off a copy of Willie Crawford’s “The Master Blueprint for Internet Marketing Success” this morning. I have read it several times today making copious notes all over it and highlighted so many different pieces of inspired advice that my copy is already looking a little battered! If you read one document this year then it has got to be “The Master Blueprint for Internet Marketing Success.” If you take on board the wealth of ideas, advice and common sense that Willie offers you will have the tools to enable you to achieve the success you want if you are prepared to work at it!

It is not often that you get inside the mind of one of the most successful and inspiring Internet Marketers and this “Blueprint” certainly enables you to do that. I have known Willie online for probably about 6 months now and I have found him to be an amazing individual. If I see him posting on a forum I make sure to read what he has to say because every time he writes he offers a new insight on some aspect of Internet Marketing that is invaluable. What is really great about Willie is that he has such a lightness of touch even when he is being brutally honest! He takes the time to write back to you and he is quick to offer encouragement and praise where appropriate. I haven’t met him in person yet but I certainly plan to. He doesn’t know this yet (although he will when he reads this!) but I have a goal to get him to the UK in 2007 to talk at a Seminar.

He made $1,000,000 last year and has great plans for the year ahead which will see him exceed that target and this is where I turn to his “The Master Blueprint for Internet Marketing Success” because in this document he lays out his exact strategy for achieving the success he has achieved. There is no “fluff”, hype or oversell with Willie this is a down to earth, honest strategy and approach talked about in an easily readable conversational style.

In his report he takes you step by step through his approach from the mindset you need in order to succeed; the dangers to watch out for along the way and how to avoid them; the individuals and their thinking which has influenced him and the ridiculously simple way in which he achieves the success he has achieved. I say ridiculously simple because when Willie explains it and takes you through the things you ought to be doing in order to succeed you go “of course it makes perfect sense!” There are numerous golden nuggets of advice thrown in as Willie talks to you throughout “The Master Blueprint for Internet Marketing Success”

Above all else I think that is what makes “The Master Blueprint for Internet Marketing Success” such an outstanding document is that by reading it you can see how you can make it happen for yourself!

I have also signed up for Willie’s Password protected Blog to which you get access through “The Master Blueprint for Internet Marketing Success”. I already know that his Blog will become one of my most visited sites during the coming year!

I really cannot recommend highly enough getting your own copy of “The Master Blueprint for Internet Marketing Success” and if you click below you will see how to get hold of it at a price which will repay itself many times over! It is priced at a price which is accessible to all and comes with Master Resale Rights - meaning you can pass it on to your subscribers at whatever price you choose.

Check it out here: Willie Crawford's Master Blueprint for Internet Marketing

Take care

Paul

Coming up smelling of Roses!

Morning All

Okay I know a bit of a corny title for this post but when you will realise that I am talking about one of our first sites of 2006 you will see why!

We launched Rose Gardening for the Novice and Experienced Rose Gardener only a couple of days and already we are getting some extremely positive feedback which is excellent!

Now, talking of excellent let me mention Willie Crawford and his The Master Blueprint to Internet Marketing Success which he has just issued. Now we hadn't planned this into the Plan but one of the critical things is that your plan remains responsive to events and opportunities - so this is a prime example of that principle in action!

Keep your eyes open for news of this new website!

Take care

Paul

This is an excellent product!

Evening All

If you are looking to generate an income stream from using Adsense then the product I have been looking at over the last few days is one you will want to get hold of.

Joel Comm's Adsense Secrets explains everything you could want to know about making the most out of Adsense. Visualise achieving them!

Afternoon All

I have been pondering a little more on Planning and Goal achievement and how intertwined the two are. One of the things that is absolutely critical to create an effective plan that you will work to achieve is committing to your Goal(s).

I cannot over emphasise that committing to your Goal is so important. That Goal needs to be more than "I want to make $100,000" it needs to be something that you can visualise. Why do you want to make $100,000?

Let's say it's to be able to purchase that House or apartment by the river or whatever it is that you really want in your life.

Try to see yourself living in that house, strolling down the path to the river and sitting there enjoying the late afternoon sun. See yourself, in your mind's eye doing whatever it is that you want to be able to do.

I have seen so much energy generated by people who are able to visualise themselves achieving their goals. When you can picture yourself in the position/place you want to be there is so much motivation to then achieve your goals and to plan to achieve them!

Take care

Paul

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://paul-duxbury.blogspot.com/2006/01/really-commit-to-your-goals-visualise.html' title='Really commit to your Goals! It's the last day off work for many of us here in the UK as today is the last Bank Holiday of the Christmas and New Year period. We have had a lovely time and hope that you have too? We have managed to pack a lot in and have launched a few new websites as well as getting some others underway. You can check out our various projects at one of the sites we launched www.paulduxbury.com.

The "fantastic response" of the subject of this posting is in relation to your response to the Mountain Top Planning Document we have offered free of charge. So many people have downloaded it and I have had quite a few emails from people commenting how interesting and helpful they have found it. Thank you for the response and as I mentioned to a few people who asked you can give it away to friends, colleagues and your own subscribers if you wish. The only stipulations are you must not charge for it and it should not be altered. I spent quite a bit of time looking at the types of people who became successful as part of some research.

One of the things that stood out time and time again from the people I talked to who were successful was that they consistently attracted other people to them who were being successful and as a result became more successful. Now most of these people when they started were not rolling in money but they behaved from the outset as if they were going to achieve success. They replicated the behaviours of those people who they took as role models and tried to promote an image of themselves which was "successful person."

Now by this I do not mean that they were full of BS or over-hyped but instead that they talked in a measured and confident way; they always wrote in a way which conveyed confidence and self belief; they were kind to those around them and took time to say thank you to those that helped them. As my Grandfather said they "acted and dressed as if they were about to be promoted to the board."

The one thing that these people had in common was that they believed they would be successful and acted in a way which told you that they knew they were going to be a success. As a result people who were already successful were attracted to them. Sometimes this route to success might seem at odds with the way of the world today when brashness of approach seems to be the way with many but perhaps it's worth thinking about whether each of us attracts success to ourselves by the way we behave?

Worth pondering perhaps!

Take care

Paul

Ahead of Plan!

Evening All

Isn't it amazing here we are at 30th December 2005 and another year almost over! I have been talking and writing over the last few days about the importance of planning and having a clear vision of where you are aiming.

I think one of the best feelings you can get is when you achieve ahead of plan - the sense of satisfaction is amazing isn't it! Well today I have managed to finish two websites that we have been working on ahead of schedule. They were both due to launch around mid-January 2006 and they have gone live today!

Seriously, one of the things that I have heard many times is if you are going to operate online and get your name known on the internet one of the things you must do is get a domain name in your own name! So after a few weeks of procrastination (yes I do sometimes suffer from it!) I got around to doing so and registered www.paulduxbury.com and it went live this afternoon.

Hopefully you will like it if you go to view it!

The other site that we launched earlier today is one that hopefully will help those who have overspent over Christmas or have given their Credit Cards a bit of a bashing. You can find our "Managing your Finances" Website by going to Sort your Finances and do let us know what you think.

I think I can justify that Champagne now on New Year's Eve having achieved ahead of plan!

Take care

Paul

Private Rights Success almost sold out!

Evening Again!

If you have been pondering signing up for Private Rights Success then you need finish pondering very soon! I challenged them about this and asked them what they meant. As we discussed their expectations of failure what became apparent was they were talking about "learning" rather than "failure." You see we will all encounter boulders as we progress up our mountains and have to think about or re-think our way around them. However, if we see these boulders which appear as failures rather than learning opportunities we start to programme our minds with thoughts of failing - and no-one likes to fail do they!

When we experience a boulder on our way up the mountain that we were not expecting we need to take ourselves back up to the top of the mountain or to put it another way we need to review our plan.

Standing at the top of the Mountain is essential. Breathing in the air, the smells, the sights of the place where you are when you have achieved! That phrase "where you are when you have achieved" is so important - so many people when they first try this say things like " I will never overcome my boulders" or "I just will not be able to sort that problem out" and the thing to remind them of as often as you need to is "You are at the place you want to be, you have overcome your boulders, you have sorted out your problems."

They need to visualise the place where they want to be, imagine themselves living the life, running the business that they want to. Once they can break through the fog and the clouds and can see the place they want to be - then they can look back and they know that the boulders were overcome!

The change of mindset that this gives people is quite amazing to behold because all of a sudden you hear phrases like " well if we do this" or"now this would solve that problem." They start to talk in the language of achievement and action rather than the language of procrastination and obstacles.

Life is a never ending learning opportunity - don't start failing just keep learning!

Take care

Paul

Are you planning to Fail in 2006?!

Afternoon All

We often hear the old saying that Failing to Plan is planning to Fail. Planning is indeed critical if we are to achieve what we truly want in our lives. For me there are a number of stages to creating a Plan:

The Vision

What I quite often refer to as the "Mountain Top View." Imagine that you are stood on top of a mountain and as you look around you everything you want in your life, in say five years time, is in place. Five years is probably as far as you should go and more often people feel more comfortable thinking about three years in the future. So as you look around you what do you see? Now don't go putting barriers in the way because remember you have achieved what you wanted to achieve, you have climbed the mountain! Everything from where you are stood now is what you wanted to be able to see.

Now for me in five years time we will have stopped working in someone else's box/business. We will instead be working in our own business, which will be based online, but have lots of real contact with people. We will be earning sufficient to maintain our lifestyle living in a wing of a large old Country House (of which there is a picture sat beside my computer monitor.) We will also be earning sufficient to keep us in the style we want to live long into the future when we move to live in Italy.

When I have worked with others in the past and when you are doing this part for yourself you should be able to say what colour Front Door your house or apartment will have etc in other words really paint the picture that you can see from the top of the mountain.

Boulder Avoidance.

This is where you look back down the mountain and try to spot the boulders you have overcome on your way to the top of the mountain. What were they? Were there some big boulders and some little ones? Make sure that you have a clear view of the things that tried to stop you getting to the top of the mountain so that when you sit down and work out your objectives over the medium and short term you know what you have got to overcome.

Now to give you an example probably the biggest boulder in our way at the moment is generating the income from our online activities and knowing which of the activities will generate what we need and which will not contribute to what we want to achieve. So here we are starting to think about where we need to focus our activities and are asking questions. Are there online activities which are taking up a large percentage of our time but contributing little to what we want to achieve?

It may be that there are some that you want to continue to take up a large amount of time without them contributing. However, you need to consciously be aware of that rather than bemoaning the fact that you are not achieving what you say you want to. If you are serious about running an online business and want to move full time online your mindset needs to change from "hobby" to "business".

Now I will turn to the specifics of creating your Plan. The two elements I have mentioned so far are the parts which people normally miss out. However, they are critical if the detailed part of your planning is to have a context and an aim.

Detailed Planning

In terms of the detail of the Plan you create it needs to have a focus on the Vision and be constructed in the Long Term (9 months plus), Medium Term (1 to 3 months) and the Short Term ( the next month).

You need to have a very clear focus on what you want to achieve in those time frames. In order to do that I work with SMART Objectives:

Specific - what exactly do I want to achieve?
Measurable - what numbers or other measurable element do I want?
Achievable - is what I am proposing achievable? Relevant - is what I am proposing to do relevant to enabling me to achieve my Vision?
Time bound - so I will achieve by xx/xx/06

SMART has always worked for me and if you combine it with PDR (Plan, Do and then Review) it's a surefire way of focusing you on what you need to achieve.

I will finish by simply saying that you should always keep asking yourself "have I done today what I planned to do and has it contributed to achieving my Vision?"

Take Care

Paul

Niche Article Generator

Evening All

Everybody, including me, keeps saying that article marketing is THE best way to establish your name in any given market or niche.

Like me many people have become a paid member of various Private Label Article sites, are asking ghost writers to write them for them or have received Private Label Articles as part of the many Christmas Giveaways.

Well if like me you have hundreds of Private Label Articles on your hard drive then you are probably wondering how to make best use of them. Over the past few days I have been trying out a tool that enables you to turn your own articles or Private Rights articles into a profit pulling mini site.

It includes FREE updates and a great bonus package which includes free articles and a user guide.

You can have your articles online in minutes and use them in e-courses, advertisements, e-zines etc.

Get your copy now before everybody else does by clicking here: Niche Article Generator

Take care

Paul

Getting ready for 2006!

Evening All

Now is the time, as we start to throw off the bloated feeling from all those Christmas food goodies, to make sure we are ready for the New Year! If you are involved in running an Internet based business or have decided that 2006 is the year in which you will make it happen then there are three things I think you need to check out:

Firstly Private Label Rights Offers

Private Label Rights have been "hot" in 2005 and look set to continue to be so in 2006. They allow you to use content in whatever way you want and put your name on the products. There are three absolutely brilliant Private Label Rights products available at the moment that are literally being snapped up! You may want to check them out if you haven't already and certainly before all the opportunities are gone which I can imagine will be very soon:

Private Rights Success
Private Label Rights Articles 2
Private Label Sites - your new money making websites for 2006!

Second is Creating a real presence for yourself on the Internet

If you want to get a headstart on everyone else in the coming year then you need to get your name known around the internet. Writing articles is without doubt one of the best ways to do that. However, submitting articles to dozens if not hundreds of directories is a time consuming process. To overcome this I have taken advantage of what i genuinely believe is one of the best Articles Submission services I have encountered called Article Marketer. If you want to check it out click here: Article Marketer Service

Thirdly you need to check out the "Boxing Day" Sale!

It's a tradition in the UK that many of the Big Stores commence their sales on Boxing Day! In the spirit of this PK eBook's (www.pk-ebooks.co.uk) has reduced prices on all our eBooks by not less than 50% and in many cases by up to 80%! This can only last for the next 7 days! Check our the various sections and we are sure that you will find something you want!

Hope those help.

Take care

Paul

Where does all the money go!

Evening All

I don't know about you but sometimes I wonder where all the money goes! Looking Forward!

Morning All

We first started producing successful websites early in 2005 with the introduction of The Amateur Genealogist (www.amateur-genealogist.com) which was aimed at the developing Genealogist market and at providing resources and a forum for those new to Genealogy to share their experiences and receive support with their family history research.

Fairly soon after we launched Catholic Genealogy (www.catholic-genealogy.com) which was specifically aimed at those researching their Catholic Family History and then soon after that came Our Family Trees (www.our-family-trees.co.uk) aimed at the complete beginner.

All of these sites have been highly successful and receive a lot of web traffic.Without even realising we had stumbled (even though I prefer to think of it as planned :-)) into the "Niche Marketing Arena" - focusing on very specific groups of people in terms of the services that we provide.

As our knowledge has expanded we took our experience and applied it to a number of other areas. These have included eBay with www.ebay-profits.co.uk; Dog Owners with www.my-dog.co.uk and www.dog-lovers.co.uk. All of these are areas we are genuinely interested in and can bring knowledge to. As our interest in Internet Marketing has increased and our knowledge and experience has developed we have also launched www.web-success.co.uk to which www.info-entrepreneurs.co.uk and www.online-moneymakers.co.uk also point! These sites are aimed at those who are interested in developing their online or home based businesses and like us are keen to continue learning.

Blogging is also something we have become increasingly involved in and have had some great success with the likes of Santa's Advice Blog which has been really popular!

We are continuing to develop a range of content based websites and have recently launched www.info-corner.co.uk and have more planned in the coming weeks and months! A major developments for the coming year is the planned launch of www.ecoach4u.com which we have been promoting through www.fulfilling-your-dreams.com. The whole area of coaching online is one I have been involved in for many years having continued to develop the skills of coaching and using the internet! All ready for Christmas? I Hope the last week has been successful for you?

One of the things which I am sure that we are all aware of is that newcomers to the world of internet marketing find it very difficult to get their first few sales. This can largely be due to an apparent lack of credibility in the eyes of the customer. Let's face it you are completely unknown, why should they trust you?

Your first major hurdle to cross is that of improving your reputation and credibility. One way of improving your credibility is to become well known amongst those members of the internet community that frequent your market niche. There are other relatively simple things related to your website which also have a huge impact on your credibility.

The following points all contribute in some way to the first impression your website creates in the minds of your customers and they all go a long way to establishing or destroying your credibility...

1) Nothing destroys your credibility quicker than if you use unprofessional graphics on your website. That first impression created by your website is incredibly important and it does not take much to turn a seemingly terrible graphic into something that looks neat, clean and professional, but if you don't have the ability to modify the graphics yourself, either find suitable free graphics on the internet or hire a graphic artist to do the work for you.

2) Use full contact details on your website. People feel a lot more comfortable when they are dealing with a real person, and not a "front" for a money making scam. Use your full business address on your website, not a P.O. Box. People like to know that you will respond to their requests for help, so put their minds at rest by also including your business, and mobile phone numbers. Make sure you use an answering service for those periods when you are unable to answer your phone.

3) Don't leave your email address on your website; it will be harvested by spam bots. Use a "Help Desk" system... Your customers have to register first and then create a support ticket. They immediately get an automated response explaining that their customer service issue is logged, gives them a tracking ticket number and explains that a customer service representative will respond shortly. This appears very professional to a customer and greatly increases your credibility.

4) Nobody likes to wait for an answer regardless of the circumstances, so include a FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) on your web site. Many customer service issues happen more than once and by supplying the solution to a problem on a FAQ mean your customer gets the answer to their problems immediately. Every time you get a new customer service issue, add it to your FAQ, that's one less issue you'll have to deal with in the future. One spin off from having a comprehensive FAQ is your credibility increases because you've dealt with all those issues (or at least thought about them) in the past.

There are also a number of "off site" issues which greatly affect your credibility...

1) Not responding to customer service issues is a pretty quick way to destroy your credibility. Many people won't buy directly from the sales page and will have questions about your product or service that they want answers to before they consent to the purchase. Delay your reply to them and you loose the sale. Many customers may have a problem with the sale itself and if you don't reply quickly, they will ask for a refund, and what's worse is they will never buy from you again.

2) A very good credibility building task is writing articles related to your website's theme or topic. Submit these articles to as many article directories and ezine editors as you can, the more the better. Your articles will be included in many different ezines and newsletters and will also be included as website content. Hundreds, if not thousands of people will read your articles and over time your reputation and credibility will grow.

3) Participate in web forums or discussion boards as they are also known. Post your own comments, answer other people's questions, and even ask your own questions, always being honest and truthful. Never advertise blatantly, rather include a text link under each message you post. People will get to know you the more you post especially if they like what you write. Quite apart from the additional traffic you will get from people clicking on your text link to see what else you have to offer them, your credibility will increase dramatically.

Take care

Paul

Do you submit articles?

Good evening!

One of our subscribers emailed me to tell me they had done a search on www.google.com for Paul Duxbury and that they found that I was appearing everywhere!

They had noticed that I had lots of articles and they wondered how I was able to get so many articles on so many sites. Private Label Rights

Evening All

There are three basic rights you should know about when it comes to resale rights marketing.

These are:

resale rights

master resale rights

private label rights

Whenever you purchase a product with resale rights, you will only have the license to sell the said product to other people. When you purchase a product with master resale rights, you will have the license to sell the product to other people, and you will also have the option to sell the resale right for the same product as well.

This means that the people to whom you sell the resale rights of the product whose master resale rights you own will consequently acquire the license to sell the said product to other people. Confusing as this may sound, our focus for this article are private label rights which, of the three rights mentioned above, is undoubtedly the most empowering and the most profitable.

Private label rights are embodied in a license that comes with an information product you may be able to purchase. These rights would allow you to alter, modify, enhance and rearrange the contents of the said product to suit your own needs and wishes. What exactly does this mean? With private label rights, you could divide the chapters of, say, an eBook, and sell them as a series of articles. The reverse is also true. If you purchased a set of articles with accompanying private label rights, you could compile them into one nifty and seemingly novel eBook or special report.

Better yet, you could add any information on the said information product, without having to seek the permission of the original author. You feel that one section is wanting in details? You could freely insert your own additions! But the best part of information products with private label rights is that, in most cases, you could put your name as the author of the work, without having to pay royalties or ghostwriting charges to the original author.

There are many benefits to private label rights. Some are quite apparent. Others only manifest after a deeper scrutiny. Let’s take a look at some of them: Private label rights would allow you to come up with a variety of new products from the original source. Being empowered to alter the contents to suit your needs, you have the liberty to repackage them as novel offers for different markets.

Private label rights would allow you to improve on a work that you may have found lacking. Tired of purchasing products to sell, when such products do not meet your standards of quality and they are disappointingly unalterable? You won’t have to worry about such with private label rights. You have the freedom to change and improve on what is written as you see fit. Private label rights are perfect for branding yourself and your business. You need to get the word out about your online venture.

Purchasing a number of information products with private label rights and naming them as your own would impress upon the online world that you are an expert in your chosen field, and they would trust you more easily when the need arises to procure your services or avail of your products. The purchaser is not the only person who stands to earn from private label rights, however. An information product creator can also consider this route if he wishes to make some fast money.

The information product creator can offer the private label rights to his works at a substantially higher price, considering all the perks that are attached to it. There has been an age old debate as to whether or not a creator should sell the private label rights for his products. Though there are many schools of thought on the matter, the following scenario seems to be the most beneficial for the information product creator: he should sell the private label rights for his products only when the same is nearing the end of its market life.

At this point, it is widely believed that the product has already been squeezed dry of its moneymaking potentials, and by allowing other people to alter it in creative ways, the said product might find new life in different markets. Private label rights are excellent offerings in the world of Internet marketing. When you encounter a hot commodity that would give you the liberty to alter its essence and call it your own, it is very much worth your time to study the profitability of purchasing the same. Offers this good don’t come everyday.

Private Label Rights Offers

There are three absolutely brilliant Private Label Rights products available at the moment that are literally being snapped up! How precious a gift would that be to your children and their descendants?

The age old adage, "still waters run deep", is more than true in regards to our 'strong but silent' type Fathers'. Especially when you consider how many different opportunities we are bombarded with each and every day that can so easily distract us from what we are trying to achieve.

One of the tactics that I have found works is to be very clear about what I am doing and ensuring that what I am doing right now is contributing to the achievement of my vision/goals. So each time we do some work on our business we need to ask ourselves “What is it contributing to the achievement of my goals?” If my goal for this week is to make let's say £1,000 then is what I am doing right now helping me to achieve that or am I doing things because I enjoy them and they are actually adding nothing?

Do you have a list of tasks which will lead to the achievement of your goal for today/this week/this month etc? If you don’t then what are you actually going to achieve this during this period? Will you succeed or will you end the period feeling frustrated because despite keeping busy you have not achieved? So, just by way of example, if you spend hours and hours posting to forums are you absolutely certain that is contributing to the achievement of your goals?

Do you do it to increase your profile and drive potential buyers/partners etc to your website; is it to help you learn, is it because you like to help others or is it a way of avoiding doing something i.e. the age old enemy of invention (action) called procrastination? If someone asked you to "justify" what you are doing (assuming you are doing something related to your business!) right now in terms of the achievement of your goal for today/this week/this month would you be able to?

A friend of mine has a framed set of his goals on his desk (which is a desk he uses purely for his online business)with the picture of the boat he wants to buy when he is successful! Every time he feels that he is starting to get distracted he looks at that framed set of goals and the boat and asks himself - is what I am doing right now going to get me on that boat? Now that's what I call focus.Have a great week all!

Take care

Paul

Having the Will and the Vision to succeed!

Evening All

I have been reflecting on what it takes to be successful online and wanted to share my thoughts.

Having been involved in Learning and Development for more years than I care to think I am always encouraging people to reflect on their learning! When I first started looking at how to make money through the internet I read what felt like thousands upon thousands of websites. I am sure that I have not been alone in doing that and to a great extent ending up feeling totally overwhelmed by the plethora of “opportunities” which appeared to exist.

But how was I to distinguish the “bad” from the “good” when it was all so new to me. Like you I read those pages that promised me that I would be earning £'000's by the time I came back to my computer from the bathroom! Here is probably the most important lesson I learnt very early on and that was to heed those wise words "if it looks too good to be true, then it is!”

Like so many people I have read so much but instead of remaining overwhelmed by it I decided to rely on my gut instincts and those experiences I have had both in the real world and in running a very successful Genealogy membership website. I started to filter what I was reading into something that resonated with me and made sense in the light of my experiences in other areas. I have made some mistakes and I am sure that we will continue to make them. I am sure that there are things that we are doing wrong but we are trying to learn and put them right as we go.

So far I would summarise what I have learnt as:

1. You are not going to get rich overnight or even in months - it is going to take time and dedication and hard work ( despite all those people who try and tell us you only have to work for 30 minutes a day!)

2. You need to want to succeed and you need to have a clear picture of what success will look like for you . Here I drew on the experiences I have had when working for hours with Senior Management Teams Vision Planning! You must be able to picture what success will look like for you. As someone once said if you cannot tell me the colour of the Front Door of the house you will own when you are successful then you have not yet truly refined your Vision!

3. You need to have a clear focus on your markets and know what you want to sell - hopping from one thing to the next in the hope that "it" will be the thing that works is not the way!

4. You need to be big enough to say "I got that wrong - help!" and wise enough to truly listen to the advise you get.

5. You need to be your own "Guru" and by that I mean that you need to do what you do because it is the right thing for you.

You can be successful online and make money. The power to do it lies in your hands and in your will to succeed!

Take care

Paul
